A Special Bond is a philosophy of its own, as my experience has proven that parents desire a special bond with their children. I am proud to help parents achieve that bond.

A Special Bond currently offers three different services, each helping parents bond with their children: Doula, Infant Massage, and Breastfeeding services.

Birth Doula services are the cornerstone of A Special Bond. You may be new to the concept of a Doula, or perhaps it was a suggestion from a friend, or loved one. In any case, parents-to-be are entitled to be the directors of their own birth.

Infant Massage, though having existed for centuries, is relatively new to many people. With the development of the baby in mind, there are social, emotional, cognitive and physical benefits of Infant Massage. Not to be limited to babies, Infant Massage is also beneficial to toddlers, and babies or children with special needs too. There is a fantastic opportunity for deep bonding with Infant Massage.

Breastfeeding services were originally intended to supplement Doula services, but due to popularity, became a service in its own right. In the United States, the rate for exclusive breastfeeding at the hospital is currently about 60%, with 75% being the goal for 2010. As the health of the baby is paramount, breastfeeding is also a wonderful opportunity for mom to bond with her baby.
